LED altezza tailight conversion

This is one of the Easiest Mods' that I have done so far.
I'll be giving you detailed steps with pics included to guide you to replace your OEM tails to Altezza smoked LED's that I purchased off of Ebay.

Models: 05-07' 300C and Srt ( I cannot veify if the other models will work).
Cost: $115-200( I purchased mine for $115 on Ebay)
Tools needed: Flat head screwdriver
Time: 20 mins-1hr ( Depending on your skill level, this is very, very easy)!

STEP 1
Open the trunk and locate a plastic rivet and plastic knob that is located directly behind the tail light. Simply popped the ribet out with the flat head screwdriver and turn plastic knob with fingers counter-clockwise. I used the carpet in the trunk as leverage to remove the rivet, you can elect to use a flat head screwdriver if you want.
Plastic knob
Rivet

STEP 2
Once the rivet and knob are both removed, pull back the carpet to exposed the back of the tail light.

You will then see this harness. You will first need to remove two more plastic knobs located under the carpet and on the rear tail light assembly itself. These are easily removed with only the use of your fingers. Dont attempt to undo the harness just yet.

STEP 3
After all three (3) plastic knobs are removed, slowly pull out the Tail light assembly from the body of the car. Once the 3 screws leave the holes, you can stop. The wire harness will still be connected to the OEM tail light.

STEP 4
You will now be able to undo the harness. There is a RED clip located on the body of the harness which will slide open if you push it inward into the harness.

AFTER IT UNCLIPS

STEP 5
Remove the tail light from the vehicle. No need to remove bulbs or screws. The new Altezza will include these already installed in the new light.

STEP 6
Now you will connect the harness to the new tailight. Snaps into place easily! Line up the three screws on the new tail ight with the holes in the trunk and guide the tail light into place.
Once the light is in place on the car, began tightening the knobs back onto the original sites. Tighten them individually and re-tighten them until there is no gaps located along the body of the car.
caution: Do Not overtighten or use a wrench to help you!

After everything is tighten, put the carpet back in its original place and you are DONE!

Sorry to hear that about the bulbs. Most vendors send all the bulbs with the assembly.

Great post. I also just installed mine. I also drilled a couple holes and directly mounted the wiring harness to the body.
