Ok... I "think" I see the problem... Look closely at my HID decoder and how the first plug is attached (ignore the position of the blue thing).
Note that the black snap clip or "tongue" on the plug is to the inside of the decoder. Yours is to the outside. Recall that in my write-up that I inadvertantly removed the blue thing from the plug. Perhaps I didn't get it back on the correct side of the plug.
So... while your blue "keeper" is positioned similar to mine, our plugs are actually reversed. So don't go by the blue keeper, go by which blade is supposed to connect to the brown/black wire of the plug.
I think if you reverse your plug on the HID Decoder this will brighten up significantly.
Per your suggestion this is what I added to the installation post:
NOTE IN THE PICTURE BELOW (actually "above" in this instance) that the blue security clip on the power connection to the HID decoder, which I reattached backwards) is on the wrong side. If you didn't take the blue clip off the semi-circular curvature on your plug will be to the outside. Note that the black "tongue" of the connection is on the opposite side of the security tab of the decoder. This is the indication that you have properly reversed the connection so the light will work.

If you had hooked the ceramic capacitors up backward for long, you might have lost them, but I'm not sure what is the inside detail of the "decoders". Chances are they're ok, but that is purely a guess on my part.
Are you saying that you reversed the connection and now the fogs still don't work? If that's the case, then perhaps the decoders are blown.

Tim, I got under the car again and reversed the cord, THEY WORK NOW! third times a charm i guess..... $%#@%@%
If you can edit your first post I would suggest stating more clearly that the blue thing was put on backwards as it may save some other people a lot of time since there is no picture clearly showing a close up of the clip. The blue thing is the only way someone can base that connection by your pics.
even we were convinced we had it plugged in the "right" way (not reversed) at first but followed the position of the blue thing in the "instructions" anyways (dumb on our part). I appreciate your help though and am just happy they finally work
