"Boing, boing goes the brake pedal"

My 300C has made a loud, springy noise since it was about 3 months old (3/05). It can be heard over the stereo, yet the dealer says not all 300's do it and Chrysler has no fix for it. A few Chargers have been reported to have the same issue. Does anyone have or have had this problem?? A car this price shouldn't be this irritating!!
Thanks for any advice.

Apply lithium grease to the spring located at the brake pedal pivot point. The grease should be applied to all surfaces of the spring and at each of the hard contact points to the pedal assembly. Exercise the pedal to make sure the noise is eliminated.

Yeah, and I can feel it through my shoe too. I know the fix, but I've been too lazy to fix it.
