Is this going to happen rain or shine?

I was going out of town but those plans fell through.

I'm committed to the event either way unless freakyshiat cannot make it and then I might stay in if it's raining.

Do we have a head count?

I would say it is only shine, since I don't like getting FreebirdSRT in the rain, lol. If it is raining It will give me an excuse to work on FreeB more.

There is no official head count. We posted on all 3 LX forums and gonna see how many do in fact turn out. I believe Freaky is going, not 100%. I saw him at HRP a few weeks ago.

See you Saturday at Noon.

Well it looks like Mother Nature has not been very nice to us here in Houston lately.

Don't let that Dampen your Spirit's.

RAIN or SHINE: The Meet and Greet is still a go. I know for sure that a few of us will be there at Champs at Noon today.

A LXF member from Abeline came in town yesterday to have Hennessey work on his MSRT. Bo'sRT and I met the member up at Hennessey's yesterday and as luck would have it. The 3 of us also got to go to lunch with the man himself, John Hennessey. We talked cars, horse power etc. over some awesome Taco's Al Carbon.

So let's keep it going today at Champ's see you there.

Regret missing this M&G but there was a disabled boy in Kerrville at the Texas Lions Camp for Crippled Children who needed transport to Texas City, and I volunteered to get him and bring him home. Had to leave Saturday morning at 3am and did not get back until 5pm or so Sat. evening. Next M&G I would really love to be there!

The meet was a good time but messy. I was the only one there with a C-SRT8. Freebird was there but the only smart one because he brought his rig instead. It was wet, wet, wet, and more wet. I did get to meet several members of this site as well as members from other other DCX sites. BO'SRT8 was there and gave me some nice mod pointers. The food was good also. I brought my 11 year old son with me and he had fun as well. It was a good time.

My only regret was not staying for the second half of the Italy v. USA soccer match. There was a heavy contingent of Italy fans there and it was interesting how polarized the restaurant was. I'm sure they viewed a tie with the US as a defeat and I'm sorry I wasn't there to help them live it down. LOL!
