Houston meeting location and time is set!!!!

The Houston meeting area and time has been set.

We will meet at Valley Ranch Grill and BBQ on State Highway 249. There is a large parking lot out front where we can easily accomodate everyone.
Street address for looking up on google maps: 22548 State Highway 249, Houston, TX 77070.

We will start arriving around 8 a.m. and will be LEAVING AT 8:30 a.m.

For those living between Houston and Waco that don't want to back track in order to meet up w/ the group. Our route will take us through Tomball, Magnolia, Plantersville, Navasota, College Station (whoop!!!), Hearne, Marlin, and finally into Waco. Estimated drive time 2.5 to 3 hours.

If you have two way radios, bring them. It will make the trip much more enjoyable!!!!!

PM me and I'll happily give you my cell phone number in case you get lost and can't find the meeting location!! Again, we will be leaving the parking lot at 8:30 a.m.

LET'S GO HOUSTON!!!!!!!!!

Hey Big D! What time is the Austin crew pulling out? I'd like to make it up that way and I can tag along.

Eddie, looks like TxSwimDad from LXf ended up organizing the Austin folks. Here was his post over there regarding Austin (and SA?) meeting locations/times. You and Big D ought to meet up w/ them if at all possible.

Ok, how is this for a plan for those arriving from the south of Waco?

I've picked the HEB grocery store in Georgetown. It seems to be a place where those coming from the East (Taylor), West and South could converge. As you travel north on I-35 take exit 260. HEB is the @ intersection of highway 29 & I-35. It shares the parking lot with the The Tractor Company. Let's park close to the highway end of the parking lot so we will be easy to spot.

According to the online maps, this is only about an hour and 15minutes from DP. Our tour is scheduled for 12 noon. If we plan to be gassed up and ready to pull onto the highway at 10:15, we should arrive with about 30-45 minutes to spare.

Hey South Texas gang, feel free to join us here as well.

What exit do we take off of 249 for the BBQ rest. ?

Is it after Spring Cypress? Which side of 249 is the BBQ at?

Thanks Tracy

Exit Spring Cypress. Its on the right (East) side of 249 and on the south side of Spring Cypress. As soon as you get off the exit ramp and onto the feeder road, get all the way over to the right. You will not turn onto Spring Cypress. You will turn in to the BBQ parking lot before you turn onto Spring Cypress.

Hope that makes sense. I'll be out there early and honk at folks that look like they're with the group
