Dodge dealer would like Mopar club, provide site...

To all DFW owners, I had a very interesting experience at a local Dodge dealership that led to a very interesting conversation with the Service Manager. He is a car guy, but not necessarily a big Mopar guy(street rod, mostly, it appears). Anyway, I have a SRT-8 Magnum and we got discussing the SRTs and local Viper here in this area. He mentioned that he would like to get a Mopar owners group together and the dealership may be willing to provide a location for meeting and other things.

Unfortunatly, the dealer is far from central in the DFW area and they are in the Alliance area(north I-35W, exit 64). It is Allen Samuels Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep. Since it would be a very good drive for most Dallas side owners, is there interest in this?

Guys/gals,

I see there is some views to this, but no replies. How about this. If you are interested but this location is too far, please note that in a reply. Maybe we can find a more cental dealership if there is a lot of interest.

I would be interested but that side of the Metroplex is too far for me. Something in the Plano / Allen / Frisco area would work for me. I live in Allen and bought my car at Bankston in Frisco.

I am guessing by the number of views and no replies, that your sediments are probably wide spread. I know we are over in the far 'north-west' here and remote. There are a lot of Vipers in this area, though, and I think the dealer was hoping to snag them into this as well.

He was a little disappointed when I mentioned there was little feedback. Until he can line up a bunch of the older Mopar guys and the younger ones, I don't think he is planning to do anything. I think he was going to get the okay from the dealership owner once he had a bunch of people interested.

I'll know more on that in a few days.

I don't get to check the site as often as I'd like. That would be a major drive for me, ~100mi. Although, I would be willing to make an event/get together occasionally if possible. I too am north of Dallas and east of Central(75)...

Regards,
