Hey everyone finally made it out to the raceways and the times werent all that great.

I was expecting it to run alot faster then it did but I guess keeping mind being my first night out in this car people were giving me props.


First run was a 14.2 at 99mph 60ft was 2.271
Second run was a 14.0 at 100.73 60 ft was 2.261
Third run was a 13.974 at 100.16 60 ft was 2.182
Fourth run was a 13.955 at 100.81 60 ft was 2.183

So now i ask with good 60 ft times could this car run a 13.5 13.6 ish???

Hey Gucci!! Those are not bad runs for first time out on the 5.7 on street tires. Regardless of the sunshine some here may blow up your rear end (pardon the way I put it) you will be very challenged to get to mid 13's with bolt-ons with the 5.7. Perfect air and perfect launch, maybe close and you will not be able to do it consistently. If you want to run mid to low-mid 13's all you need are drag radials. Before my heads/cam (with the DR's) I could run 13.4 all day long. The DR's will make the difference you are looking for. Now (since we are talking about the track) if you want to go low, consider N20. Not too expensive and certainly gives you that extra UMPH to move down the track. haha will meant to write 13.955 and with my mods I should be able to get into the mid 13's but im tryin on street tires but if need be ill pick up some slicks later on

you'll need to get that 60 down to under 2.0 to get the times you're looking for.

I'm sure better tires will help, but the best thing is launching practice. These are big sleds and harder than you may think to get a good launch. ESPECIALLY on street rubber.

Can you correct for D/A and put up the times again?
