Auto Headlights

Hi,

I have had my car for about 5 months now. Since I am retired, I don't drive much after dark, but when I have the Auto headlights work fine. Tonight I was out driving during sunset, and the auto headlights did not come on until it was quite dark. In fact, I manually turned them on, since I was so concerned that other cars would not see me. I know that there is a tsb (08-038-05) which covers the headlight sensivity problem, but it says it covers cars built between Mar 14 and April 22, 2005. According to my data sticker, my car was built in May 2005, which is outside of the window. Is there any way I can tell if I have the latest HVAC software that controls this? Should I ask the dealer to flash the software anyway?

Thanks,

Phil

I would explain your concerns to the dealer. Bring a copy of the tsb to show him. Put the ball in his court. Chances are he will try the flash.
