The only time you will get a letter is for a recall. If you are experiencing a problem and find a related tsb then take the number with you to the dealer. It will help them fix the problem faster.

The dealer listens (right!) to your complaints. If they feel like it, they will look through the TSB's to see if it's a known issue.

The ones they feel like fixing, they'll let you know about. The ones that are subjective, minor, or they just don't have time for, they don't do.

If I were you, I'd look through the list and note each TSB that you believe you are experiencing issues with. Note the number and what your symptoms are with the problem and ask them to fix it or explain why this isn’t impacting you.

I think that unless you have an extraordinary relationship with your service dealer, you will get the minimum assistance needed. Remember, they can't overcharge DX for TSB fixes.

The dealer will only address the issues you tell them you are having. They won't usually pull a complete TSB list on your VIN/vehicle, the reason is that in most cases problems listed in TSB's only affect a small percentage of vehicles. Make a list of the issues you are experiencing and take it with you to the dealer.

If your car is under warranty - no. Same if it is a recall. Otherwise, yes.

And as for the "list". Is there a list somewhere on the internet which we can peruse?

I checked the wkjeeps.com site but the TSBs were only for Jeeps - at least that is all that a luddite like me could find.

Spend some time getting familiar with this forum and its subforums. There is a whole one just for TSB related info.

Here is the LX TSB link, it's a "Sticky" right here in the TSB/Recall section:
