Anyone get a small slight rattle at a low throttle and moving up on the throttle? It sounds like when it hits a certain frequency it makes the sound and stops once you step more on the gas.

Yep. I have that. Also, my windshield pops which sounds like it's coming from the driver's side - lower corner. My other dash rattle also came back which was fixed a few months ago. For that one, they tightened 'something' near the overhead console. I need to bring it back in.

Good thing is...the good outweighs the bad with this car.

Thanks Dan SS2471 for the reply and I do agree the good does outweigh the bad by a far margin.

The small rattle at low throttle I have is not really a big issue but did you get that fixed? Just curious. I mean I could live with it no problem but if there is a fix why not.

My 2006 300C SRT8 has a rattle on the left side of the dash where the windshield pillar trim meets to left top of the dash pad. I thought pillar trim was not "seated" properly; however after pushing down or in with pressure, the rattle still exists.
This rattle started about 1 month ago. Currently 4,100 miles on odometer.
Build date of November 2005.

Any suggestions for repair ?

Thanks for this forum.

I've got one a little plastic tick/rub on the dash by the vent piece I think. Also something that sounds like keys rattling a little, but haven't figured out from where yet... driving me nuts! Last one might be a loose window mech on driver's side, but that comes and goes and is a toughy to diagnose as well. Happy to say, that's ALL that keeps this car from being PERFECT! (Well, that and the rim I potholed...sigh)

You're welcome.

The small one, no. I didn't get it addressed. I'll mention everything next time I go. I hate stuff like this because they rarely, if ever, get it fixed right.

If they happen to get it fixed I'll get more details about what they did and post 'em up.

SRT8Lady---Unfortunately the only thing I can offer is to find a competent service department and have them take a look at it. Best of luck!!

Dan

SRT-8 noise in dash

Had an 06 SRT-8 in over 4 times for noice over dash cluster, would come and go when it wanted. We could drive it 300 miles no noise, take it to church 3 miles and make the noise the whole way. Only had 2000 - 4000 miles when sound came "alive". They had dash apart completely two times, had all TSB done. Finally had to do lemon law on it. If anyone wishes to hear the sound I have in in a WAV file. Turned out ok since had an 06 and the lemon law got me an 07. So some times there are good stories from the big companies.

I had the same noise on the right hand side as well. The dealer actually took my front windshield off and added some foam material in between the dash and the window. I was not real impreseed with the fix, but it sure beats listening to that noise!

I have had a dashboard/steering column rattle in my '06 300C off and on for over a year now. It is at the dealer right now hopefully being rid of this annoyance for permanantly. I have had the steering column replaced and bits of excess plastic removed from around the column as well. This time they have gone into the dashboard and have found some vibrating brackets. Hopefully it gets fixed for good this time!
