back seat tick:tick:tick

Having a back seat ticking noise on the passengers side, only happens on concrete roads, and light acceleration on the gas pedal, Took it in to the dealer they said a panel was not welded correctly, they welded the hell oout of the inner rear fender, and floor where the seatbelts mount, this was per chryslers reccomendation and as expected it's still there and it's driving me NUTS, Now I have to wait for a regional service tech from chrysler to come and hear the problem, and then hopefully it will be addressed it's a 2006 300C AWD with now just under 3K has anyone else heard of this issue? has anyone had the sheet metal in their NEW car re-welded? I and questioning the structure at this point any ideas??? I bought it new with 78 miles on it and it was there from day one and the sales manager even rode with me and heard it and i have no clue what to do.....thoughts? ideas??? or should I just get a atty and go lemon ...oh and my breaks were just turned and i am only getting 20MPH on the highway and 10-12 city.....Help

The passenger assist handle hinging mechanism clicks fairly easily. It may be clicking when driving over little bumps/holes. I slipped a little piece of cardboard inside the little round hinge. I think this has stopped one of my on-and-off little annoying rattles that seem to come and go like a fly at a barbecue.

Thats funny! I did the same thing and I rarely hear the noise anymore.

This may not be it but worth checking:

Rattle coming from the rear wheel well area - This condition may occur any time the vehicle flexes. This noise could also be described as coming from the tail lamp area or the rear of the vehicle. Recommendation: Lube the rear seat latch striker.

put the rear seats down and see if its still there.

i had the same noise on my magnum AWD. i couldnt figure out where the heck it was coming from. i lowered the seats and wala, it was gone. i tried lubing the seat post latch without luck. ended up trading it in before i could find a permenant solution.

I just spayed some silicon lubricant on the exposed seat latch. Also noticed there was a moving latch mechanism inside the back of the seat that can make clicking noises. So I lubed that piece too. Both mechanisms still make clicking noises when they are moved back and forth. Don't know if these are causing any rattling noises, but can't hurt to lube them up.
