Do TSB's cost anything???

Sorry for a dumb Q but do TSB's cost anything out of pocket? Since they are not actual "recalls" (actually I'm not really sure about that one either) would I be expected to pay for any service related to a TSB? Thanks for the help out there!

Not if your car is under warranty. You will need to have the problem/symptom of the TSB to warrant the work, however, at most dealerships. Most won't do a TSB to prevent the problem if you don't already have it.

I've had two TSBs done on my SRT (1-2 shift and the slotted rotors) and haven't paid a dime for them.

Be sure you can describe the problem to the dealer. Print out the TSB and have it with you. I like acting like "mr. know it all" since it is the dealers job to research and find the "fix" for your described problem. I usually play a little Detective Columbo if necessary.

Should I pull out my stage 2 chip to have this done. I would hate to mess it up( or have the dealer mess it up)
I'm referring to the TSB for 1-2 shift.

YESSIR ...always remove any type of "Chipware"..Keeps the Chip
from being ruined, and keeps the Dealer from knowing your business..LOL

You're good for the shift TSB until the 36K miles warranty, unless they're doing something funny up there in MI.
