Anyone had the TCM Flash done?

Has anyone had the TCM Flash done? I went to the dealer today to have it done but changed my mind at the last minute because I don't understand what it is doing to the Auto Stick. I need to have the Flash done because my CSRT-8 dies big time on the upshift between 1st and 2nd. If anyone knows if it works and exactly what to expect with the Auto Shift let us know.

THANKS

Hey danno, NR is getting it done & I may just change my mind depending on HIS writeup. I will be getting a new TCM for it though & keeping the original. This might be an alternative for us holdouts.

That sounds like an excellent idea Rambit. Thanks for that info.

No, sit on the fence and agonise over it while we all drive around yelling like the Duke boys, enjoying it... My only regret is they didn't release it sooner. Had it done the first day and there's no way in hell, I'd go back.

If you've had it done, how about voting in this poll http://www.300cforums.com/forums/srt...then-vote.html. Feel free to comment as well.

I have a BG PCM flash. Is it dangerous to have the dealer do the TCM flash? Could they inadvertently damage my flash while doing this?

The great news for all but the 6.1s is that they *did* release it sooner. The very first TSB released to fix the SRT8's 1-2 shift problem, released months ago, does everything for all non-6.1s that the latest (the second) TSB does.

My regret is that I only discovered it 5 or 6 weeks ago. Would love to have had the additional months of near flawless tranny performance that the first flash brings with it.
