Can you flash OVER a flash?

When I took my car to have the SRT8 flash, I did not realize that this flash would disable paddle hold on my SC Tuner. I was at DC today, and their head tech did not know if I could flash the older SRT8 flash over top of the newer one. Does anyone here know? Can you erase the version on their now and add the older one?

I'm just repeating what I've read before, NO, you can't reflash your Tcm back to the older flash.

So I either replace the TCM or my thought was they rename the older flash to a number that would overwrite the current...

I will have an SRT8 flashed TCM from a 2006 5.7L 300c. I am not sure if it can help, but I would like to try...

I am an advisor for a Dodge dealer and that tcm can be taken back to facory settings, as well as any flash would be an update to the latest and greatest update. As updates come out they can be applied if there is a symptom that falls into the TSB.

Are you saying the SRT8 TCM flash TSB for 1-2 shift hesitation can be reversed? I never had mine done myself, but it's nice to know if this can be done for sure. It's been mentioned in the past that someone with a good knowledge of the StarScan could do it, but I don't recall anyone actually doing it successfully.

When I say change I am Talking about taking it back to factory settingds. The car will adapt to your driving habits from there. And it can be restet again when you want. This is not covered uner warranty unless it pertains to a repair and your car is under BASIC warranty.

Well, resetting it to factory standards, in other words getting rid of it's adaptive learning is not the same as re-flashing the TCM to a version lower than what it is. To get rid of any adaptive learning, we can do that anytime by pulling fuse 11.

From what I've learned here is that re-flashing to a previous version is either not possible, or PERHAPS it may be done by someone who has a great deal of knowledge of the StarScan tool. There have been some who tried to reverse the 1-2 hesitation flash to no avail.
