TSB's performed.

Is there a way to quickly tell which TSB's your car has had done? Also, what is the process like when having one done? Is it a quick thing?

because TSBs vary, the signs that a TSB has been done vary. like uc45 said, it depends on what the TSB is for.

when you go to the dealer, the service order/receipt you get usually lists if a TSB was performed, and the TSB#.

i have receipts for the 1-2 tranny TSB, brake rotor TSB, etc. in case of the tranny, the problem is gone, so i know it's been done. in the case of the rotors, i have slotted rotors now, so i know that's been done.

reference the TSB sticky in the forum, it's very useful.

Well, I just purchased the SRT8 a few weeks ago and I'm wondering if they keep the TSB's up to date while the car is on their lot, or, do you have to actually be proactive about it. I want to make sure I'm all caught up on stuff that should be done (like the shift reponse TSB).

proactive! it's up to you to get them done. depending on your manuf. date, you might have some of the "fixes" already. but for the most part, it's up to you.

Ahh ok. I'll check the Manufacturing date to be 100% certain. Thanks a lot for the info.

it's really depends on the dealer how "involved" you need to be. i always have the tsb printed out and ready to hand to the service writer, just in case. the dealer i work with now attaches a copy of any TSB they perform to my service receipt. i don't know if they do that for all the people, or just me because i'm pretty detailed when i ask them to work on my car. i hand them a checklist of what work i need done.

I just got a 2006 SRT C last night from a local AZ dealer. There are no slotted rotors, and the transmission from 1-2 feels horrible. I am hoping, and assuming that the tranny TSB was not completed. Since it is a 06 does that mean I qualify or will be able to get the Slotted rotors, simply by calling the service department and asking about it?

The easiest way to find out is to ask a dealership service writer to look up your service record. They record all services performed from the delivery of the car, including pre-sale work that may have been done.
