Recall on exterior dimming mirrors?

I went to dealer on Wednesday....sat there for 2 hours to have them tell me they have to order parts....love the way this is going already...

I got the letter about a month ago. Checked the "Fix it" box and gave it to the dealer at next service. Got a call from dealer service the following week saying part not available. That's nice. Let's see now. Letter says customer has until Dec 1, 2007 to make a move, photocopies not accepted. Original given to service department, then find out that there are no parts. I questioned what part was no longer available thinking there may have been an error on the order. Service manager didn't seem to know.

That is when I did a search and found this forum. Call the dealer and give him the Rapid Response number above. I get a call back saying that they now have the part on order and that they had found it via a different RR number.
Thanks to this forum for giving me the info I needed to get this moving.

on the '07 300c with dimming mirrors is the passenger also supposed to dim.Have had car for 3 weeks and could swear when I first got it it did.

most 07 didint come with dim harness for passenger side.There is a tsb to hav e this fixed....look in the tsb thread

update from months earlier.Well since first post I went back to dealer when they finally decided to let me know my parts where in.So...on day off....back I go.Sit there for 3 hours....guy come out....sorry....had car tore apart and found out we have the wrong wiring harness....have to order new one....extra fast delivery?Yea right....that was 1st week of December.Dealer never did call me back to say parts were in.I called Monday this week and low and behold....Yea we've had them a few weeks.So....my DAY OFF 50 miles away back to the dealer.5 hours later its finally fixed.Yea that 75 bucks was worth this hassle....DCM is crazy,75 to not have the thing fixed....It was a royal pain but Im glad I got it fixed
