Terrible noise!!!Heeeelllllpppppp

Ok...when I start the car in the morning there is a terrible grinding noise...sounds like tranny.Makes bad noise in reverse.,but not in drive. After car warms up its seems ok.....but does make a little noise in reverse. This problem seems to have started when the temps outside got below 50 degrees....any one hear of this?I want to take to dealer but it will be warm when I get there and they will say we dont hear anything.Predator not showing any codes and I dont see any red goodies coming from tranny....heeeellllpppppp!!!!

Caliper or dust shield?

Take a look at your brake calipers. They are held on with 2 bolts. If the top one comes out, the caliper can pivot downward and rub on the rotor. This just happened to me. I guess the dealer didn't get the bolt in tight after the slotted rotor replacement.

Also take a look at the dust shield around the rotor. I had a car that got a rock stuck in there and had similar symptoms.

I noticed the sound the most while moving very slowly, at highway speeds the sound went away.

Does it make the noise only while moving or also while stationary?

I would say something is loose in the exhaust system.

When the exhaust warms up, it expands and take the play out that is causing the rattling.
