2006 300C Heritage

Has anyone had a problem that involves a wobble in the rear end at low speeds (20-40mph)? I have had mine in twice for this problem and they have not been able to fix it. I was told today that they had a similar problem with another 300C and they changed all the rear end componets and still had the problem. Chrysler took the car back. I don't want to give this car up as it is a rare one so if anyone has had this problem and they fixed it I would appreciate hearing about the cure.

Is this a wobble first thing in the morning? But won't happen any other time?

Mine does it and it is the tires causing it.

Haven't had such a problem in the 3 LXs that we've owned. If you've still got the Conti Self-seals that might be the problem as was suggested.

On another subject... WELCOME to 3CF from our West Virginia LXs in the Mid-Ohio River Valley. Since you have a Heritage Edition (as do I), please post your build info in my Make Our Own Build Sequence for Heritage Editions thread. What's requested is defined in Post#1 and you can see who else here has registered as an H.E. owner.

Maybe a bent wheel? or a bad tire as Northern300 suggested.

If it were me I'd rotate the tires and see if the wobble moves to the front; at least you can eliminate or confirm a bent wheel or tire problem that way.

Hey Jim,
My wife has the same problem with her car. We've had a 4 wheel alignment done, the wheels "road forced balanced" instead of spin balanced, tires checked for trueness and went through 6-8 tires of the same brand, (Goodyear Asurance)
We've had it in the shop a few times, but they never really fixed the problem. I'm thinking it might be the wheels. The reason I say that, is I asked the dealer to put some different wheels on, from another 300
on the lot. When they did this , the "wobble" went away. Instead of replacing the wheels, they replaced both rear tires. It seem better, but I could still feel a slight wobble. I'm looking into getting the wheels replaced. Hopefully the wobble will go away.

Good Luck!
Brian

UK... The H.E. is a 300C with 5.7L Hemi and typical performance, but with high confort and bolstered SRT-style seats (with vented leather vs. suede), H.E. badging, appearance package (SRT rear spoiler, all chrome-clad grille, HIDs) and was the first model with SmartBeam* auto Highbeam headlights.

Here's a picture of our beauty...

So its better specced than the "C",In the UK the Hemi(what i've got) is the top spec model with all the toys.
All we get is the hemi(discontinued) the SRT8(never seen one or heard of one in the UK)the 3.5 petrol(not very popular) and the 3.0CRD(99% of UK sales) and we definateley dont have red "C"'s in the UK.Thanks for the info.

You need to add the VIP front lip. It blends in perfectly with the car and really compliments the rear spoiler. It finishes off the "sport" look of the Heritage edition.

Would have done that for sure when it was "my" car... but now that "I" have the MSRT8, the H.E. is "her" car and "It's just fine the way it is..."

So all but the cheapest and easiest and most mundane mods will go to the Magnum and not "her" car. The only thing I have left for it is the engine compartment light. I purchased two units when I got the Magnum and have had time and warm weather only to install in the Magnum.
