Yes - you where the first with the GY ComfortTreads and I know that you are quite discriminating when it comes to driveablity.

That's why it's so puzzling to hear about the ones who are just now starting to have issues with this particular tire.

i haven`t tried running them at 35psi yet,but i will do so after i get a chance to go to the dealer . i have the tires filled with nitro in them awhile back. i did this at the same time i took my car in for the wobble . the wobble was there before i put the nitro in them. p.s. the goodyear dealer also said that putting in nitro in your tires is just a scam for the dealers to get you to pay for this feature. is there any truth to this,or they just blowin smoke up my a** ? thanks leo

i did know this as i have had previuosly owned an 03 dodge ram with those flower designed 20`s . thanks for the info.

Nitrogen is often used by racers as the tire pressures do not change much as the tire heats up. It has the benefit of not leaking out as quickly as the molecules are larger. Finally, it does not retain water as easily, causing less corrosion on the inside of the rim.

As for daily driving, these benefits are tiny and most people will top up their tires with plain old air (which is already 80% nitrogen). Basically, it is just another way for dealerships to add proifit to service.

We have over 16,000 members here and very few have had these issues with relatively new cars - until lately. Has Goodyear put out a bad batch of tires? Makes you wonder?

We ran the pressure up to 35 mph and took it out - it made the wobble so much worse that we stopped in a parking lot and let the pressure back down to 30 - which is what the dealer kept putting it at and saying "fixed" I know that there's a bad batch of tires out there and I feel that the Goodyear Rep knew it too, but instead of doing what was right - they jacked us around with more bad tires -hoping we'd go away. Guess it worked - we did - we bought Michelins.

I think you are right on the money. Unfortunately, Goodyear did not have the cajones to step up and simply replace ALL of the tires on your car with ones that would solve the problem.

I think that these manufacturers (and it's not just Goodyear) have badly underestimated how the internet gives power to the informed consumer.

Google this subject, and this forum and these type of threads come up.

The net really empowers all of us in a way never possible just a few years ago.

OK took to dealer again today. we road tested the car and came to the same conclusion that it had to be the tires. the dealer said to call Goodyear headquarters and get a claim going. so i did and they called the local Goodyear shop that i took it to on Thursday. they then told me that the dealer could warranty the tires them. but the dealer told me it was Goodyear's responsibility to warranty them. and when i talked to the Goodyear shop guy. he said they probably just don`t want to take the responsibility for them. i told him i don`t care who does it ,but to just get my f**kin car fixed. so he will have to have the car all day on Wednesday so he can throughly inspect the tires and wheels again.

p.s i`m just about had it with this bulls**t !!
and replace the tires like BMattingly vbmenu_register("postmenu_637438", true); did...

They are going to continue to give you the run around. Chrysler is notorious for this. The dealer is not going to claim responsibilty and GY is not going to want to claim responsibility and in the middle is the customer who is powerless against either company. My SRT has a shimmer but it comes on at about 60mph and goes away after 80mph, I know its the tires but I also know there is no need trying to get Chrysler/ GY to pay for it unless I want a lot more frustration in my life. I have come to the conclusion that if you are going to own Chrysler vehicles get ready to do a lot of dealer warrantied maint yourself. Thats ok for those who are use to Chyrsler, Dodge and Jeeps being inferior but for me its just more than I care to put up with in a 40K car. Like the old saying goes "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me." Chrysler will never fool me again. I am selling mine as soon as I can at a loss, I dont care. I just want out of this circle of "we cant duplicate it", "we cant fix it", or "we dont want your business" BS they keep pushing on there customers. I hope this company is dissolved and I hope it happens quickly.
