wobble,shimmy at 35 to 42 mph

i was wondering if anyone can help me out. i have a wobble, shimmy when driving 35 to 42 mph when going straight on a newly paved road, and it`s more noticeable when going around a curve at the same speed. i have taken the car into the dealer 3times so far and this is what they have done. 1 they rotated the tires 2 times using the road force balancing, turned both rotors on the car, checked the drive shaft and rear end, replaced atire that was supposibly the problem, put a new 300c tires and wheels on my car to see if it was the wheels, checked the front end out. my dealer called me and told me that they test drove an 08 300c and felt the same thing on it. they ask me to test drive the 08 and i did but told them i really didn`t feel the same thing. they said it`s just the characteristics of the car. i said bullsh**. so now they will be replacing the tierod ends as i mentioned it to them. anybody have anything i can suggest to them? i also ask for a chrysler tech from detriot to come and investagate this matter..

ok can anyone help me out? i got a call last friday and they said they think they have it fixed. i get there and test drove it again and it still does the same thing. this time they called chrysler and they told them to re index the driveshaft. i called them today and now they said once the cars tires pressure builds up after a few miles it goes away. but i said that`s funny i drive 20 miles each way to work and it still does it when i get home.

Ask the dealer about the inner tie rods.

There are inner tie rods, and outer tie rods.
The inner tie rods are connected together as one unit, I think it is called a steering rack, or something like that.
Replacing the inner tie rods is a lot more expensive than the outer tie rods, and probably why the dealer is trying to avoid this swap/fix.

Here is Youtube vid on checking for a bad inner tie rod on a Jetta.

There had been a slight shimmy in my 2006 300C/with 22's between 60-65 MPH (it went away over 65). I was told this was normal and paid no attention to it. When I had my tires rotated I went to a shop that used a balancing machine that not only spun the wheel at high speed but had a
an internal rotating surface that applied 1200 pounds of "load". It sounds like they may have used the same type machine on your car...but if they didn't
my car has no shimmy now.

What kind of tires do you have on it? Go to the wheel/tire area and read my post about the wobble -

I went through 3 dealerships before I finally gave up on them and went to an independent shop. Replaced the Goodyears with Michelin's (at my expense of course) and the problem is solved and gone. The new goodyears that were on my car are now collecting dust in the garage until I can find something or someone to dump them on.

Read the posts under Wobble in wheel/tire discussion - will tell you a lot you'll want to know before going
