I didnt customize the tune between runs with the diablo.... i just loaded the tune PPP sent me and ran 3 solid runs... the only thing i did differntly this time was i let the car cool off like 15 min between each run by leaving my fans on with the car off. Last time i ran the car i had some serious knock retard at 5500 rpm... Andy from PPP fixed it and below are the final results of what heads, cam and bolt ons can do for these cars....

P.S. on the way to the dyno shop i couldnt resist blowing the doors off a Grand National
Be careful with those Grand Nationals. I used to have a Kenny Duttweiler Buick Regal T-Type (Grand Nationals came in any color you chose as long as you chose Black-----T-Types came in colors) and I had 810 HP and 810 TQ at the Rear Wheels. Remember it might not be your parents Old Buick that you are racing against.

I loaded the 93octane tune with lowered fans settings and was getting 4-4.5KR. Richened all ranges 12% and it went down to 2-2.5 KR in the 4000-6400rpm range. Going to lean it out a bit down bottom (Try 6% down low and bump it up to 14% for 4K-6.4K range.
This tool is a blast, I just wish I had the wideband in the car and synched up to it!
ps - SOTP feels better with the 93CAI tune though, even part throttle etc feels different than the 91CAI tune...

EDIT...

Ok here's the final outcome...

I tried the 93 octane tune (with Sunoco 94 in the tank) and after 5 logging sessions/tweaking this is the config for now...

1K-3.8K - 6% rich
4-5K - 16% rich
5-7K - 14% rich

Fan settings (185 stat) is 193.X degrees on HS and 186.9 low speed

That gives me minimal KR (0.5-1.0 degrees) from 4-5K with the car fully up to temp and heatsoaked...No KR in any other range...

Car pulls like a beast

Cheers,
Chris

Why dont you try adding +1 spark across the range ?..

I know that its best to keep timing under 26 but whats the default timing on the canned 93 CAI tune ?.. Cant find the answer, looked everywhere..

My fuel setting are:

1K-3.8K - 13% rich
4-5K - 12% rich
5-7K - 10% rich

Done on a Dyno, under 13 A/F ratio.. My spark is also untouched

What type of dyno did you tune on? Was it a dynojet? What were the weather conditions like? Dynojets cannot simulate the same load on the car as real street driving. Typically cars tuned on the dynojet run half a point leaner on the street and need a degree or two less timing.
If it was a Mustang/Eddy Current dyno you can load the dyno and more closely simulate real world street conditions.

I think the stock 93CAI tune ramps timing up to ~26-27 degrees but I can't verify until this weekend.

It was a dynojet, I added more fuel yesterday..

1K-3.8K - 13% rich
4-5K - 13% rich
5-7K - 11% rich

Car pulls hard, feels good.. Spark still untouched

yesterday I also raced an Ls1 T/A, Cam+Bolt-on's.. his car was soo loud and choppy, that he had to turn off his engine at the light so we can chat..
I beat him by a car length..
