PID's To Log For Your Tuner
The following is a copy/paste from www.cherokeesrt8.com and although DiabloSport are not vendors here the information is intended to assist those who are interested in CMR tuning. Thanks to Johan for the original post.

This is great info for what tuners are looking for while data loging. My question is while data loging how should I drive for how long? What kind of driving do I need to do in order to get the best results for the tuner.
Mine had me do 3 differant logs
1.stop ang go around town Did for 15 min
2.highway Slowup slow down /onramp off ramp / again 15 min
3. full throttle both from a stop and 80 mph and as fast as you can get away with. and i did a few of those.

So after the data log what do you do with the info. Does it hold more than one data log at a time? Can you do 3 different data logs and hold all the info on the tuner or do you have to save them in a file on a computer?
Also if I were to hook up a laptop to the tuner while data loging and wanted to adjust knock retard what would I need to look for and what would I need to change.? I heard of doing this yourself but I thought a skilled tuner should adjust this. Never data loged before and now I have great concern about KR.
The Predator will only keep one log to upload to a computer for viewing. It will log for a varying amount of time depending on how many PIDs you are watching and the sampling rate.
After you upload to the DS application on your computer view the log in a graph like form. Note you can playback the log on the Predator also. When you look at the log, pay attention to the RPM, and ST Knock retard. If you have anything but zero LT knock retard that is bad, your car has learned to retard your timing all of the time because it is way off! I also like to see the throttle opening (verify you are looking at WOT), speed, and timing advance CYLINDER #1.
You cannot adjust the retard, the parameters affecting it will be the gas you use (#1 problem for canned tunes), fuel setting (richer- usually will help), or to simply adjust the timing lower (doing this more than 1-3 degrees usually will negate the benefit of the tune dialed into the canned tune and you may as well run stock).
If you find a few degrees of ST retard note which RPM range it happens in because you can add fuel or take away timing in three different RPM ranges. A CMR tuner can do this in a very finite way throughout. Also be aware that if you adjust the tune it will only apply to the WOT condition. That is why you should only pay attention to the log in WOT, if you are interested in adjustments yourself. If that thing is retarding in other than WOT, again like having LT Retard, you probably have some real bad gas or you have other problems and need professional help.

Thanks! I am going to buy the cable and do some data logs. Take a peak at what is going on and assuming that with the mods I'm running, I will have some KR. Its good to know I can adjust for the KR and see if it is anthing serious that needs a professional touch!

Sorry i didn't make myself clearer, and i drove around hooked to a laptop so after each 15 min session or when i could i'd save the info and start anouther session. then i sent those logs 3 of them to my tunner .
