Thats a fantastic idea, it just so happens mine is stilll for sale in the F/S section, pm if you want any more details.
or why not try an e46 m3, thats what i had before and is an awesome bit of kit and do seem a bit of a performance bargain now if you can find a well looked after one.

You've started me thinking about what next now. I'm not planning on changing for another two years, but honestly can't think of anything I'd be happy to replace my Chrysler with. The space/economy/prestige/affordability balance always points to another 300 but with no estate version of the new one, that's out.

The only things I fancy have only just come out so won't be in my price range for about 3 of 4 years, so maybe I'll keep the 300 until XF and CLS estates are coming off lease deals. The saloon versions of which I'd suggest as possibilities for DATMAN , I had a diesel CLS and it was a lovely thing the only modern German saloon with anywhere near the presence of a 300 and with the same engine but more power and a 7 speed box it drove how I'd like my Chrysler to! The downside is the lack of space, not just the centre rear seat but rear legroom and headroom too. Even the front feels claustrophobic compared to an E Class so it would feel minuscule after a Chrysler.

Just off to get a winning Euromillions ticket then SWMBO can have a Disco 4 and I can get an SRT8 and throw money at it till it hits 750 bhp !

Yeah - I get the urge to change, every now and then, but every car I can afford and get interested in, just can't match my 300 for styling, road presence, performance and handling . . . including the brand new Merc E Class I drove for 2 weeks recently in England.
I quite like the cls merc estate

I looked at so many options before settling on the 300C, and I gotta say... I can't think of anything like it.

Writer, Photographer, Car obsessive... 152 cars/22 years.

'98 Mercedes-Benz SLK 230K -Yellow + 528i Touring + 300CE
Given a choice between kids, or a V8... I'll take the V8.

I've owned and driven many 4x4s, and my heart lies with one. Just one.

The Jeep Cherokee 4.0 Limited Auto. Proper AWD system. Compact body, robust underpinnings, tolerable economy for the performance.

Though the Mitsubishi L400 Delica is absolutely hilarious to own and drive

Get the SRT8 or take a look at the CTS-V. The 300 SRT8 is very classy yet a real beast when it needs to be.
