MOT Based fun

had the car in for MOT a couple of weeks ago. failed on brakes and link rod.

Turns out the brake adjuster had seized the drum brake on. my weird rear clunking noise was the bare metal of the shoes braking free from the drum.

apparently that really puts a lot of drag on the car, all fixed now and the car is normal again, it also doesn't shake from around 90 up anymore, which is nice.

LED tail lights and smoked lens side markers from Custom 300C Shop. Custom Carbon paint finish to trim and grip grille.

I had my rear discs off yesterday to check the handbrake shoes and expanders. I found one shoe worn out, both expanders were seized and fitted upside down. Freed off expanders and fitted them the right way up, replaced the shoes. Took about 40 minutes to do both sides and the handbrake/parking brake is wicked now.

Regards

Simon

Cool beans. Sounds like poor fitting rather than a basic fault. I also gained about 2 mpg
