The problem with sophisticated monitoring systems is knowing when to believe them, as the monitoring process can itself throw a glitch. There's also the old adage "no smoke without fire". I'm wondering whether there might be an intermittent connection somewhere which is resulting in an erroneous voltage measurement. Just have to keep on driving, I suppose, until something happens that can't be ignored.

Probably end up being an intermittent alternator fault (Brush box etc)

So far, so good. Did a longer drive 3 days ago (60 mile round trip - well, that's long for me!). No warning light and EVIC volts still hovering around 14.5V, whenever I looked. I resisted the temptation to constantly monitor whilst driving, as I prefer to look at the road ahead. Afterwards, I realised I could have logged the trip with TorquePro.

Yes TorquePro is great for continuous monitoring, and as you say, voltage can be monitored.

just got the Autozone dura last platinum.... It's a AGM battery.... My question is that there's like a exhaust tube that was installed on the oem one and this one doesn't have a place to install one. I went back to them and they stated that I purchased a premium battery that doesn't let off the fumes of a standard battery so I have nothing to worry about...... I called three of their locations and they all said the same. I just wanted to check with u guys to make sure..... Thanks for the advise and I pray they are right

I have used those Bat-Aid tablets and was suprised that they did seem to work. Think I will try some again as my battery will be 6 years old this year.

If the battery is a fully-sealed "no-maintenance" type, then it may not need to be vented.
