Now the problem is !!!!!!
1) Do you hope you never need it ?
2) Do you hope for a minor problem so you can have a fiddle and find the fault ?

I'm kidding really, you will be able to help friends and family out as well.
Glad you got sorted.

OK, just got my Ebay blutooth OBDII scanner and hooked it up with the free version of Torquescan and it worked great. Lots of options for data gathering, but could not find any emission readiness checking capability. Does free version have this cabability? If so, how do I access it? If not, does the pay version have the ability to check the emission system readiness for smog check? I know that OBDwiz has this ability, but the bluetooth adapter is quite pricey.

Limited readability is nothing to do with the Torquescan capabilities as such. Its just the problems reading Chrysler data.

Not a Chrysler issue, since I also hooked it up to a Cadillac SRX and Chevrolet Corvette, no smog check info on any of them. Since then, I found the Torque Forum and I did a search. Found the following thread which describes how to determine smog check readiness. Will give it a try today.

Sorry to jump on a slightly older part of this thread but which "USB adapter for the laptop" do you have and what software are you using with that?
