Right, since insuring the new beastie i've gone from 330 a year on the CRuD to 505 a year on the SRT8, not bad in my opinion. That's for a 41 year old female with max ncd, driving for 22.5 years.

350 for my 58 CRD, (I'm 37, with 15yrs NC, includes business use for myself) on a multi-car from Admiral (whole policy is 650, including my Civic, and breakdown cover for both cars for me and the wife).

Interestingly, this is actually cheaper than insuring my 57 plate VW Passat 2.0TDI that I sold to buy the 300c. Got some mad quotes before renewing though. Over 1k from some places, with a 500 excess (yes - I know some of you are paying way more than that.....)

Insurers aways lookin ways not to pay out wen u make claim and they will do electoral roll checks on claims....Wen I tried a quote for SRT8 using my inlaws address in Kent, the savings came instantaneously at almost 240 difference to what I normally paid for the 5.7. Postcode and things like if u park car in a garage overnight makes a huge difference

I paid 390 this year which although not the cheapest here it does include protected no claims, xs 100 and all with RSA. Not that good I hear you say? It is when you realise I have a BD postcode (Bradford). Luckily not a low number but even so. Apparently I win a special prize because I am the other insured car in Bradford !!!

sorry for bringing this up. I thought will share my experience. Direct line sent me a renewal for 712 ( 9 years no claims, multicar discount) with 300 excess and no claims bonus protection. So I rang adrian flux as mentioned here earlier, they quoted me 490. Not a bad saving. Is there anybody else worth trying I wonder?
