nope..wrong.

Suppose you have 2 wheels (rim + tyre) that have an absolutely identical diameter (say 23"). One is an 18" rim + fat tyre (wheel = 18" rim & 5" tyre =23"), the other a 20" rim with a thin tyre (wheel = 20" rim + 3" tyre = 23"). At any given speed of the car, a point on the edge of either tyre will be travelling at an identical rotational speed

on the 18", the valve is 2" closer to the hub, because tyre makes up a higher proportion of the overall diameter.

Imagine a line of soldiers given the order 'right wheel'. The guy at the pivot point has to 'mark time' & turn on the spot. The soldier at the opposite end almost has to run in order the keep the 'spoke' straight......soldiers further towards the pivot take progressively smaller strides the nearer to the pivot they are. The same thing happens with the valves. Because the valve on the 20" rim is nearer the edge of the total diameter, it MUST be travelling faster, even though the overall diameter is identical to the 18" version

My 2008 here in Australia had the metal Valves then I updated to the 2010 300c it has the Rubber valves I am not sure but! ,I think our TMPS Valves run 433MHZ the same as the UK. From what I have read all the new models 2011 up even in the USA now run 433MHZ as well in stead of the 317Mhz, about time these were made too be universal around the world to save a lot of worry lol. I have ordered a new set of Foose Black Legend SS wheels in 20 x 9 to replace my Leaxani LSS10 22x 10 and 22x9 wheels that I have had on both cars. So I bought a new set of 4 TPMS Valves on ebay shop ( Wheel1 x) for $90.90 AUD posted to Australia.A great pricee as I saved heaps, the dealers wanted $180.00 AUD each.
Cheers
Geoff

Hi Geoff C
Is there any chance you recorded the part numbers of the TPMS. Did they come in ready to use or did you have to get them activated. Rgds Doug

Hi Geoff C

Hi Doug the part number is 56029398AB but I really can't see if it makes much difference as the Valves are made the same size and the sensor has 433 mhz that we need for our cars so I will just have to wait and see. As far as ben activated I think all you need to do is fit them take the car from a 20 min drive at over 25 klm/hr and they self activate. I will keep you posted as they will be going into my OME wheels as I don't have any in them at the moment. The New Foose legend SS
wheels will have my original valves fitted that i had in the OME wheels then the 22` which I have just sold. I hope this helps a bit anyway .
Cheers
Geoff

Hi Geoff These are the ones that i and Doug have bought (i think from the same place as you Wheels 1) and they dont work on 2006- on cars if you have a look at the TPMS interchangabilty post you'll see why we think they dont. The 56029398AB's may work on yours it being a 2010 although they may still need activating sleep to park mode. The part no that works in mine a 2006 (after contacting Schrader/Bartec and getting them on the case) are 56029481AA they are supplied in sleep mode sometimes and need to be activated to park mode to make them work. I think Doug is going to get his 56029398AB's checked when he can as a last resort before he gives up on them to make sure they are activated ie in park mode. The ones on mine which were sent to me in park mode via Schrader/Bartec started working after about a mile. I am waiting to hear from Bartec on a price and availabilty of the 56029481AA's here in the UK.
