I ordered them because I didn't want to have to modify my factory front struts. I wanted a complete bolt-on system so when I go back to stock, I can swap all of my unmodified stock components back onto the car.

UAS will remove the lower collar on the strut and notch-out the strut hat to make the bags a complete bolt-on system. In my case, this was completely worth every penny for the option.

Ok, not sure what all that means, but basically it makes the install easier. Nothing performance wise, right? Next question. Will other suspension parts wear out faster b/c of the air suspension (I keep reading if you go springs alone, expect stock shocks to wear out in a year or so). What type of wear and tear does a system like this (UAS) add that I wouldn't have otherwise.

Would would be the purpose of running the UAS w/ KWs and/or sway bars?
Is there any type of routine maintenace I should know about?
Does the dakota guage thingy just provide the ability to lower/raise the car while outside the vehicle? Or is there something else to it?
Is there any way to keep the spare tire AND put all the equipment in the trunk? Any need to protect the equipment from luggage, golf clubs, etc... If so, how? Anyone done it?

The more and more pics of the UAS system, the more and more intrigued I become!

Ok, another few questions while I wait for the other questions to be answered...

Just curious, can everything be setup in such a way so that it is not possible to raise the car w/o power? If so, seems like the system could be used as a secondary anti-theft device. What type of damage can be done by vandalism? Is it possible for someone to come along and cut the bags?? I know it may sound stupid, but these are the questions the wifey is going to ask. I need to be prepared

Anyone going to Spring Festival next week w/ the UAS setup?? If so, be prepared, I'll be looking for you!!!

Thought of yet another question(s)...

How loud is the compressor when it kicks in? Audible from outside the car? Refresh my memory, when does the compressor kick in - to go back up after a full pancake? Did I read somewhere that using nitrogen instead of air is the only way to make the entire system silent? Are there any other ways to make it silent?

let me see if i can help u out a little until Zack chimes in..

WIth the swith box, i believe there is a key to "lock" it so no one, like valet, can play with it. And yes, i park outside and i will be using my UAS for a theft deterrent. whenits pancaked you cant steal the rims or the car, cant tow it either without making hella noise.

i dont think anyone could reach in and cut the bags, but it probably possible if they really want to i guess.

yes, you are going to hear the compressor from outside but its minimal..thats why most mount it in their spare trunk area and DYNOMAT the trunk. the sound is a bit louder than hairclippers.

nitrogen holds a constant pressure longer..with oxygen you can play with the system a only few times before the tank refills(compressor kicks on then). i think xxNovaxx has both.

i hope this helps in your decision..if im wrong anywhere in here please correct me Zack.

Yea, I saw NoVa's setup w/ the nitrogen bottle. Is he the only one using the Nitrogen?

Regarding the "hairclipper" sound - is that before or after the dynomat?

Before..if it was in front of you that what it would kinda sound like..or at least thats the closest sound i can think of that matches the compressor sound. DYNAMAT will help a lot with the sound vibration too.

I will be ready for my UAS in June or early July so you can check it out at the next local M&G in person.

Did I read you're heading up to Dallas for the install? I can't wait til June or July!!!!! You gotta get it installed NOW. hehe

This is why I'm soooooo glad I'm heading out to SF next week. I want to see/hear/feel some UAS setups in person. At this point, I'm back to being undecided all over again w/ what I want to do. Ugh, I never should have "ordered" my car. I now have waaaaaaaaay too much time on my hands to research 1,000,000+ mods.
