Black Chrome!?!

Is anybody familiar with the concept of black chrome. LA Wheel and Tire offer this and it looks really cool.

Are the inside edges painted black? Or is the wheel sort of a light black spray over chrome? Tough to tell from the pic.

From what I've read and heard from the owner the black is incorporated in the chroming process and looks dark black from some angles but has less 'bling' than straight chrome. no paint. Quoted me around $200 per wheel.
