Biggest tyres on 17inch OEM rims?

Hi,

I wondering what the largest tyre is that I can fit on the standard 17inch Alloys that came with the car. The tyres under now are 215/65 x 17.
I don't want to mess with the ro;lling diameter, as it would affect my gearing, and speedometer reading.
So, which tyre size could I go up to while mainting my gearing and speedo calibration? And not rubbing the sidewalls of the wheel arch, etc.

Thank you!

Go to http://www.tiredepot.com look for the "tire calculator". You put in your current size and then the size you are looking for. Then will give you the variation in dia, speed, etc.

Have fun,

Tom

Thank you, very interesting and so simple. WIll bookmark.
So, it looks like to maintain my rolling radius on the stock 17" rims, the bigger tyre I should be looking for is the 235/60 X 17. Thanks.
However, This doesn't answer my "Wheel Arch/Rubbing" concern. I am guessing, though, that 235/60's tyres will fit with no problem, since I am informed the Hemi comes standard with bigger tyres in the same body & wheel arches?
Could someone confirm, please??
Thank you very much
