Wheel diameter vs. offset. vs width

Hi guys. New here to the forum. Just bought a 2006 300C about a week ago. I was looking for a little information. The first thing I want to do to the car is put a set of wheels on it. I love the way the 22's look, but some of the 20's catch my eyes also. Anyway, before I drop any money I was wondering if one of you guys would be kind enough to give me the magic setup. I don't want any rubbing issues, and don't want to have to modify the car in any way. Quite simply, what will work? How wide and what offset with 20's and 22's, and what is the correct bolt pattern? Also, what about tire size? Thanks for any info, and I look forward to posting here in the future.

Suggest you do a search here and research this issue. 2 of the most reputable online dealers are www.tirerack.com and www.discounttiredirect.com . The specs for your factory wheels and tires:

Tire Size - 225/60HR18
Wheel Size - 18x7.5
Bolt Pattern - 5x115
Hub size - 71.5
offset - et24

The offset will vary on any aftermarket rim - it is dependent on the width.

The best tire size for 20" all around may be 245/45/20 and there are only four models currently on the market:

Avon Tech 550 A/S
Goodyear Eagle RS-A
Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar
Toyo Proxes 4

Yes the specs are the same for the Magnum R/T and the 300C (Hemi's) are the same. However, I believe? the Magnum may have slightly stiffer springs or shocks due to load carrying.

Just do yourself a favor and get those awesome forged wheels from GS Motorsports. They have the offset, width, diameter, etc. all figured out already.

8.5"F, 10"R.

$2900 for 20s, $3200 for 22s. Damn good price IMHO.

Also, another question guys. I really like with the 22's the way the car sits down over the tires like most of the pictures in the gallery on here. Is there any other modifications that are done to acheive this, or is this just the result of putting the huge rims on the car? Don't want to have the rims on and have the four wheel drive look in between the fenderwells. Thanks.

Those cars are probaly lowered. You have to change the springs. This car is difficult to lower. Most people want to remove some of the wheel well gap say 1 or 2 or 3 inches. However, the cars bottom is only 5.6 inches off the ground. So dropping the car 2 inches leaves the bottom only 3.6 inches off the ground.

DeepBlue - I'm in the same situation. I do/don't want to lower the car simply because the roads out here in Hawaii are not that gracious. Potholes everywhere.
