My euro 300c AWD on 22's! well, at least for 5 minutes :(

this week is modding week. today I had an appointment to put 22 wheels on my 300c, and friday the KW coilovers will be installed.

it was very difficult to find wheels for the AWD (approved for use in our country), and I dont want chromed wheels because in europe most wheels are painted in silver alu look. most people dont like chrome here..
so I ordered this nice Vogue Platinum 22" from U.K. and waited one full month for delivery.

ok now here are a few pics of the wheels I ordered. they are silver painted and also available in black/silver two-tone design:

please dont post "aaah my eyes" comments because they are not chromed I know you guys from the U.S. will probably not like it. but different country, different taste..

now, here is my 300c AWD today at 09:00 AM, ready to put the 22" on:

at 10:00 AM I left the dealer... still on 18" stockers with winter tires..

you want to know why?

.
.
.
.
.
.

because my tire dealer is a complete moron:

short video clip of the disaster

I dont think I have to explain whats wrong in the last pic. this moron ordered RWD wheels with 20mm offset.. F*CKSOCKS !!!!

at least 10 times I asked if the offset will fit for the AWD, and he promised it will work. I also talked to a few other people at the dealer and all said no problem sir, it's available for the AWD!! And I also asked if he understands the difference between the AWD and RWD specs.. he confirmed and promised me he knows his business..

I hope the KW installation this friday will not turn into a nightmare as well

cheers

so what does the company plan to do about your wheels. i am sure the installation of the new supsension should go alot smoother. hope they can get the wheel problem taken care of for you.

Tough luck on the wheel offset screw up. Hopefully they will get you fixed up. Your wheels look great. Our SRT8 wheels are not chromed. Not everyone in the US likes the bling bling look. For me it depends on the wheel design, some I like with bling and others not so much.
Good luck with the rest of your installs and the fixup on the wheels.

Did they order them thru Vogue International? That's the 1 supplier of those wheels in England.

@topmotorsports: I dont know where exactly they ordered from.

There are a few other types listed on the internet with correct offset, but all with wrong bolt pattern I'm already mentally prepared for another summer with boring stock wheels..

oh, and I forgot to mention, I had to wait 2,5 months for delivery of my KW kit! :-/

thanks for all the feedback!

How do you like the ride with the KW compared with the stock suspension? Isn't it too bouncy?
I know compared to the stock USA suspension the KW is a big improvement but I believe the Euro 300C has better stock suspension than the stock USA. Are you going to fit different antirollbars as well?

in my opinion it's a little bit stiffer now, but it's okay. KWs are at default settings.

I never had the opportunity to drive a U.S. 300c, but I also think the stock euro suspension must be different.

no plans for further mods right now.. everytime we change something on our cars here, we have to get a new "approval stamp" from the authorities.. this sucks.. I hope I will get my "approval" for KW and wheels without problems..
