If you DO get 22s, can you at least lower the car?
Every 300 practically I see out there w/chromed 22s are not lowered and it makes the car look like a jacked up gangsta car! Makes you also look like you're too damn cheap to lower your car.
Forged, clean-designed 22s, like the GS MOtorsports 22s, looks great and I may eventually swap my present rims for them. However, big, fat chromed 22s makes the car a bit too cartoonish looking.
My wife and I get a ton of compliments on the car and its wheels b/c it has the right stance and it doesn't make the car look like a cartoon caricature. It gives it a nice HOT ROD look w/the thick 275s out back and somewhat low profile 255-40s up front. Looks quite menacing actually w/o looking like a 50-cent ride.
If you know how to drive and not blast your rims against curbs, 22s should be find on most roads. You can get wheel damage w/potholes w/60-series tires.
I run 30-series tires on the back of my 300Zx. 35s on front. Seattle roads are horrible, but if you know how to drive and steer around or drive somewhat slow on known-crappy roads, you'll be fine. I've yet to damage a rim in the six years I've had my low-profile tires/rims.

Great looking. First time I have seen any of the Forge-tec/MC2 rims in 22's.
Looks great lowered too. I got my K&W V2's but they were damaged intransit and I am waiting for a replacement spring and spring perch adjuster. The great thing about Forge-tec is they are light weight forged rims that are reasonably priced.

Thanks for the thumbs up on the look... I am happy with the FT15's... they are definitely strong... the first week I had them my wife hit this giant pothole and they came through OK.... I think cast wheels would have been toast. too bad about your K&W's being damaged. Make sure you post pics after the install. Your car will look really cool, dropped with the FT15's

I was concerned about getting 22" but after comparing them to 20" side by side it was a clear choice.
Let's face it if you are considering changing the wheels is for the look factor. Why go with 20's when there's really no noticeble difference.
As far as how does the car ride? It does ride different, you do feel the bumps more but it's not horrible. Now when you do hit a bump on the highway the car seems to leave the road for a second so you do have to get accustome to that.
But to me just the amount of looks and compliments are worth the three months that I am going to be able to drive with them before the winter comes.
I Have Been Debating Between 20's And 22's But The Final Answer Is Always 22's. I Need Those Deuce Deuce In My Life. I'm Saving Up For Asanti Af 132 Or Af 128 Almost There.
I've seen it in person, BIG difference. You just have to drive like grandpa!! LOL!!!!!!
I like to drive normal and enjoy the car without having to look 10 feet ahead at all times to watch the condition of the road. Does everyone feel like they have to drive with extreme caution with 22s?

FOR SURE!!!!!!!!! I am always looking ahead. YOU have to be carefull, It's worse if you have 30 series. This is my opinion. I drive just like grandpa everyday anyways!!!!!! I ALWAYS BRAKE 10 feet away!!! LOL!!!!
