Does anyone regret getting 22's

I know 22's look great, but does anyone regret getting them? Anyone had a bent wheel, ordered poor quality wheels, brake problem from the 22's, others?

I don't have first hand experience with 22's, but they will not help performance. As a matter of fact, they will hurt your standing start acceleration because the grip will be poor with a smaller side wall.

If you are into looks, they are good, but if you are into performance, they are not for you. Just my .02.

No regrets here, and not one problem as a result of the rims. I have the 8 cylinder and love to use it every once-in-a-while, but if I was concerned about get up and go I would have bought a sports car, not a four door family sedan.

The car can still get out of its own way just fine. The added rotational mass and weight of the wheels has caused little difference in acceleration and braking for the type of driving that I do. I would never say that everything has remained as is since adding the larger wheels, but definitely hasn't changed the ride so significantly that it's caused me to worry.

The only regret I felt myself having was when I mounted up 20's to see if I would be pleased. The car gobbled them up like they did the stock wheels. I couldn't help but go with the 22's.

Absolutly no regrets.... I wasn't looking for better performance, or a better ride, etc. I got what I wanted and that was that dazzling eye catching profile without too much of a compromise.

As for the ride and the performance, not unacceptable at all. I went with Eibach for lowering but will upgrade to KW2's in the future (or some other coil-over). I do feel a little more of the road and the Eibachs brand new will ride a little better than when they are a few months old. But in no way enough to make me wish I had not done the double duces and the drop.

If you go to the track, better performance may be what you might want. But for street driving and then some every now and then, 22's offer enough confidence and comfort for me. For the times I'm on it vs. the times that the ride looks awesome on 22's, well you get my point......

no regrets AT ALL, haha the ladies sure dig the 22s, and the stares from people are priceless, even the people at the wheel shop were just staring at it after they put it on the car.

I would say get 22s or 24s and drive it like you stole it.

No Way!!!

Love my 22's, didn't think twice about not getting them. Car looks totally different on the new rims and real head turner. Not many cars in Western Australia that roll on 22's, so stands out like nuts on a greyhound!!

As Ben Stiller would say: DO IT DO IT
