Question Proxes S/T’s Oddity

Tire: Toyo Proxes S/T 255/50-18 with 400 miles

Dry Roads: Tire handles great, no complaints.

Wet Roads: The tires become hypocritical, meaning, as soon as I give the car about 25% throttle, the rear end breaks loose. Even at 70+mph, give it a little throttle and she breaks loose, scary . However, I can slam on the breaks and the car stops and stops hard, dislocate your shoulder hard, w/o the ABS engaging just as if the road was dry.

So, why do they spin so easy, yet brake so well? I’ve had tires suck at both or that were good at both, but not one of each. The tires are directional and they are installed correctly. I’ve seen off-roaders reverse their directional tread to give the vehicle a different feel. Maybe reversing the rears would help the acceleration factor. Anyone reverse the tread on the Proxes S/T's? Just a thought, since I’m moving the England where it rains 30% of the time.

Haven't had an issue. 'course I'm not slammin' the gas either when it rains.
