Question HELP! 20" SRT8 300 Wheels & Tires

OK, Dummy me. I purchased a new set (with Goodyear F1's) off of a friends 300c SRT. He upgraded to 22's. I put them on and to my amazement they rub when turning full left & right. On inspection, I see the arm is almost (one billionth of an inch) touching the inner sidewall. The arm nut up top is just missing the top of the tire by about 1/2" I can live with it but...the wife (her car) is going nuts. Is there an easy solution? Spacer? Or do I have to change the inside arm to an SRT part#. Who knew they were different? Any words of wisdom of mighty readers.

Better than a spacer, some have merely shaved the bolt down with success. I don't remember how far you can go with this, but you should be able to search the info here if someone else doesn't chime in soon.

G'luck!

Hi Linda,

Great idea. I will wait for more advise. I checked out your photo gallery. You folks like cars so I thought you would like our 2nd vehicle, a 2006 Z06 vette in Velocity Yellow named (OOOBABY). It is an evil car. WOW! What power. One 2 door for me and the 4 dorr for my bride. We call the Hemi (TEMPTRS) I would send you some photos but don't know how. Too new to the web site. Hemi has 525 miles on it. Heritage edition in Inferno Red Chrystal Pearl. Thanks again

Welcome Ron, make yourself at home...
Here's a little "how-to" for posting pics so you can 'decorate' your threads.
This whole place is car crazy, and we LOVE pics!!!

A brand new Heritage?? GoofyTimL, where are you?????

Anway Ron, HEMEEE's suggestion is used quite often by members. Plus, others will eventually come through with other possibilities.

Congratulations on your new Heritage and I love the fact you also have a yellow Z06.

Welcome to a great forum, too!

Well, how in the world did I miss another Heritage owner. Guess the title didn't trigger my attention, although someday I will have SRT rims for my ride. Thanks bruno for the link here from another thread.

WELCOME RON! to a growing number of forum Heritage Owners. Maybe we should start our own "club"? Anyway... have you ever wondered where you ride fits in with others of this limited production vintage? Well, it's not comprehensive yet, but... I'm working on it.

Please see Post #1 in my Heritiage Edition Build Sequence thread. Then post your info so I can update the list. Look forward to hearing more about you and your modified ride as you get the time... I know it's hard to quite driving these things!

I had ty use 5mm spacers on my identical conversion, not to clear the nut but the innder arm, next to the sidewall that is only a "billionth of an inch" away...
