Extreme & Kev hit it!

FIKSE'

Quite successful from other enterprises, Jim and Matt Fikse formed the company with the goal to build the best wheels available. These two are MAJOR gearheads, and are truly talented designers. The first wheels they built were strictly the true threaded knock-offs, as their initial focus was racing and the top-end gearheads (kinda like FORMULA ONE -vs- NASCAR). Quality without compromise. All forgings, no castings. They manufacture their wheels in Seattle; not sourced from China.

Their focus has been Porsche, Ferrari, Corvette, Aston Martin, etc. and RACING, although there are many buyers who have had their wheels installed on Mustangs and Trans-Ams to get "the ultimate" package. The FORD Indy concept car wore Fikse rims. John Lingenfelter recognized the quality and used Fikse wheels on many of their cars.

From what I have seen, HRE has copied Fikse's designs from SEMA shows. I saw Fikse designs first, then HRE "copies" started showing up the following year. HRE has attacked the market more aggressively and focused on the "bling" end of the market, offering HUGE wheels. HRE is a well-known name from the full page ads they put in major magazines. The Fikse name is known from word of mouth and their excellent reputation.
The largest wheel Fikse offers (on their website) is 19" diameter. I believe this is because they truly understand the loss of performance with larger diameter wheels. As a result, I have never seen their wheels offered for LX models, however they will build a wheel for your car if you request. I don't know if this would include 20"-22" wheels.

It has hit me for quite some time that they are missing a large market by not offering these larger diameter wheels. It may be due to limitations with the CNC machines in their shop, or maybe they want to concentrate on performance rather than the bling market. Maybe they are developing a larger wheel line; I haven't talked with them for some time.

Their pricing is competitive with HRE, and their quality is unsurpassed.

FIKSE USA

Totally agree with Tork Monster, Kev, and Extreme!

Fikse wheels are awesome, if you are looking for performance. One of the lighter and better made forged wheels out there. Only wheels I was going to buy to replace my stock rims on my Firehawk were Fikse, due to companies like Lingenfelter using them.

I ain't only looking for good looking wheels but better wheels overall and maybe I might have to ask for a custom set if they were willing to make a set for a 300C SRT8, tho it may be too much.

Maybe we should um petition for a 300C SRT8 wheel from Fikse!

"Rest in Peace John Lingenfelter"
Too bad he didn't work on the Hemi's like what he has done with the GM corvette engines.. Sigh...

Chase-
What a sad day it was when I read he had died.
John Lingenfelter was quickly headed to icon status- what he could do with chevy small blocks was unbelievable. Lingenfelter Engineering is still a going concern, but it will never be the same without the soft-spoken smiling leader of the company.

He was a true superstar. Always on top, and always humble about the superiority.

Fiske and Kinesis. Kinesis is more racing style but a very nice 3pc high quality forged wheel. Very light but strong like Fiske.

Yeah it was a sad day, but he went out the way he wanted probably on the race track.
I should of done the Lingenfelter 383 instead of doing a stereo upgrade, I still wonder what I was smokin that month I got my car done.

Anyhow I think it would be sweet to get a Fiske custom 20" rim for the SRT8.
I wonder how the pic of that wheel you posted would look on a SRT8? Hmm
