I've been making some observations concerning wheels and tires on Chrysler's LX platform (300, Charger and Magnum). I just came from a DUB car show in Charlotte, NC last weekend and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw an 06 Dodge Charger on 26x10 TIS10 Wheels on Falken 305/25R26 Tires.....TUCKED!
I know it couldn't ride tucked but the silver one (posted in another thread here) is raised up a little and ridin' fine. I was going to go with Dropstar's 24x9.5" DS02 with Pirelli 275/25R24 tires which I saw on 300/Chargers at the show but these 26" wheels looked simply amazing. Any wheel & tire experts car to share their observations? The fact is that it can be done without your car being jacked up like a 4x4 truck. I just wondering what mods were made.
You've got to see it in person to appreciate how beautiful that car looked. I'm still riding factory wheels on my 300C and it's things like this that keep stopping me. Anybody seen this on a 300C (no, not the infamous green 300C ridin' high).
I'm taking that as not being slang for "likey likey". Why do you think so? I was able to see the new TIS 30" and Asanti 30" wheels on H2s at the show. Sooner or later, like many concept cars, the wheel wells will increase in size to allow bigger wheels. The tire and wheels manufactures will follow. This will be the norm to see in 5 years.
If I had more cash under my mattress, LOL!! I would get them. Have them stored in my car trailer. Put them on when I'm at a show, I would also have 24's in my trailer. LOL!!!!!! There would be NOOOOO WAYYYYYY I WOULD ROLL WITH THEM ON!!!!!! Seriously, would you be enjoying it? I wear diapers when I'm rolling on my 22's!!!! LOL!!!! J.K. BRO!!! It does look SSSIICCKKKKK!!! It looks like a car model. I was tucking the 1st Jada Toys DUB city toy 20" wheels on the Jada Toys old school cars, I forgot the name of them. I did that on the impala, tucked the mini van wheels on the impala. The impala came with 13" spoked wheels. Looked sick with the 20's!!!!!!! I couldn't even roll the car!! LOL!!! The wheels were tucked in BIG TIME!!!! Then about 4 months later Jada toys came out with the DUB city impalas with the 20's on them. WOW!!!!

Yeah, it does look sick just like a life sized toy. Somewhere there has to be a balance between looks and praticality. I'm guessing the silver charger in the pic only cruises. Well one thing is for sure, I've seen enough 300Cs\Chargers with 24's and very little problems to decide to get them. I'll just have to wait till the larger wheel capable Chrysler Imperial comes out to get 26's.
Here are some pics of 300/Chargers on 24's.

I know that I am being silly... but the ride on 24" suck. I have been in a Charger with 24" wheels and if you don't like your kidney's then I would say go for it...

That charger is an amazing showcar when it comes down to shock value. I gave the builder and owner props at the Socal meet and greet.
What you don't see in these pictures is the fender all thrashed because the car isn't daily drivable. The proportions are all off with such large wheels and they had to extend the front and rear bumpers to make it seem less like a monster truck.

Unless you're building a showcar, think again.
Thanks Rogue, that's exactly the kind of info I wanted. I agree with you totally. I think I'll go with the Dropstar 24s and full Xenon kit unless I see something better introduced. If I hear too many horror stories about the ride I'll probably be swayed to the 22s. It's just hard when you want the ultimate look. You always have to make sacrifices.
