20x8.5 Vs 20x7.5

Whats the big difference between the two. What tire size would you put on the 20x7.5.

The difference between the two is 1inch.
When I was searching for 20" rims I don't recall seeing any in 7.5in width.
There may some be some out there in 7.5in, but I think they might be hard to find. 20 rims seem to start at 8.5in. If there are 7.5in rims, I would put on 245/45 tires.

thanks joey, saw some 20"TIS 07 in 7.5 & 8.5. like 60 bucks a wheel difference. No sure how much the look on the car would change, or will they hold the weight of the car.

The TIS07 7.5 appears to only come with offset of 42, which won't fit our car(except maybe the AWD?). Maybe TIS makes them with the correct offset, but these 3 sites don't list them with the correct offset. You will need to call/email someone to find out if you can get them in 7.5.

To link to this site, you will have to delete the _ in front of the "com".
Somehow the link cannot be referred to.

If you are going with 20's the only advantage of 7.5 vs 8.5 would be cost and lighter weight.

Thanks, will call before I order and of course make sure they know what their talking about. If 18 is the correct offset, are there any other numbers I can use?? Will also try the TIS website, and e-mail to them should give me the right answer.
