245/40/20 or 275/45/20

Looking at a wheel/tire package. One is offering 245/40 (Hancock)the other 275/45(Goodyear GT2). Will both sizes work on my Base 300? Do not want to stagger. If both ok which size would be better for my everyday drive.

This is my wifes Maggie RT on 274/45/20. The Wheels are 20.9 with offset of 15. There is no rubbing that we have found and they have been on there for 3months now. The A arm bolt was very close not touching but we felt that at high speed it might. So we shaved the bolt a little. The speedo is off by 4 the wrong way but super chips will fix that. There has been no breaking problems they feel as string as they ever did and we've tested the. Now if I'm right the base doesn't have the same breaks the ones on the RT/C are dam big truck size, i don't worry about that but you might. The look is good I don't feel we need to lower it,the gap is nice.

Goodyear F1 supercar 245/45Zr20's

20 x 9 with no rubbing

They are kind of expensive for a touring, but the performance is great.

you can also try a 245/45/20 but very limited model makes - Goodyear (2), Toyo (1) and Avalon (1). The 245/45/20 and 275/40/20 are the same height.

Size Typo? It is either 275/45/20 or 275/40/20. The 275/45/20 may be a tad too tall and the 275/40/20 has correct height.

Keep i mind to run a 275/40R20 tire properly, the wheel must be 9" wide.
If the wheel is a 8.5" wide, run with the 245/40R20 or even better the 255/40R20, Toyo does this in the Proxes S/T.

Iam finding that out. My local tire guy gave me a quote on 275/40, but wheel guy thinks fronts might rub. Now trying to get 245/40, but prices not the same, even thought it less rubber.

I have 255/45/20 toyo proxies no rubbing and I lowered mine 2 inches. Nothing rubs and the bolt in the front will never hit the tire at any speed. That whole control arm moves with the tire.
