Look for a tire with a load rating of 99 or higher. Factory tires on a 300C carry a 99 load capacity.

Every 22 inch tire that's made right now will support your load rating so you have no problem with that

That's not entirely true. A lot of sites are recommending 265/30R22 for the 300C's, and the Pirelli Pzero Nero and Yokohama Advan Sport are both only 97 load rated.
And even other's are recommending 255/30R22 and the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 is 95 rated and Yokohama Advan Sport is 96.

Sorry guys, what I meant was the load rating for each alloy wheel by itself.

Its air pressure related. A lower Load Index can support the load if you increase the air pressure and the increased load carrying capacity at that air pressure holds the load.

But by compensating by over inflating your tires, will lead you to uneven treadwear and short treadlife.

You would not be over-inflating but inflating to the correct pressure to hold the load of the vehicle.
Yes, if you do over-inflate it can lead to uneven wear.
