Question 20's for AWD

I want to upgrade my dull looking Rims and crappy Cont tires on my 2006 AWD Hemi. After reading the different posts, I want to put on 20's and need to find out what Off-set is the best fit for the AWD's. Also, what size tire should I be looking at for the 20's.

Depending on your wheel and tire width there is some flexibility on offset. I believe about 35 mm is a good starting point. There are a number of wheels and tires available for the AWD but not near as many as for the 2WD. Most tire and wheel outlets have a search by vehicle function on their website so you can easily determine what wheels and tires they carry that will fit your AWD. If you do not deviate from the stock tire diameter more that an inch and don't go any wider than 255 you should have no problems. I have gone as big as 30" in diameter and 275 mm on all 4 corners with no problems. I have seen other forum members with 295 mm on back but I believe it was on a 2WD. From just an aesthetic standpoint I like the 265 front 295 back the best although I am not running that setup on my car.

I would recommend doing an internet search and visiting as many online tire outlets you can stand. As well as visit as many tire outlet as you can in your area in person. And there is a ton of info on this forum...it sounds like you have already done some of this but do as many searches for wheels and tires as you can stand.

Another thing to consider is if you plan to drop your car and if so by how much. It's better to determine this before you start shopping for wheels and tires as it will effect how wide you can go with your tires and what diameter tire you can use.

Good Luck.

245/45 20 is the stock size for the SRT Design group, we've installed 255/45 20s on AWD with no problem. They fit the RWD very, but still look a tad small in the wells for the AWD. Ride doesnt suffer much at all with them though. Another option for 06 AWD owners is the stock 07 AWD rim, they come in Aluminum Chrome Clad now, and look very much like the stock 300C RWD rims.
