Going with the TOYO PROXES 4

Fellas,

Any thoughts on the TOYO tires? I am going with the Proxes 4, having them installed November 3rd.

One thing is for sure, if you are Canadian and live anywhere near a US Border, head south for your rubber. The cheapest amount I was quoted in Canada for the 245/45/20 TOYO was $322 CAD ($280 USD) per tire installed.

Belle Tire in Michigan quoted me $199 USD/tire installed. A total savings of over $400 considering the taxes.

The real question is: When I drive up to the Canadian Customs Official and he asks me how much I have to decalre, do I tell him about the $1,000 in rubber?

Yeah Toyo Canada screws us over. It is cheaper to buy from a US supplier and ship to Canada, than it is to buy from Canadian Toyo suppliers.

i have one question for ya....why are you going with 245/45/20?
me personally iam going to go with 255/45/20 all around looks a lil
more beefy imop...altho either one will work...but really if you think
about it...my 255/45/20 f1s are 200 a piece plus 65 shipping so
that equates to about $865 + $100 for mounting and ever thing..
so your $1200 to my 965 is really not that big of a difference...
well i guess $300 and some change is...only because the tires your
looking at are smaller and the toyo's are less expesive...but anyway
you look at it seems you Canadians are getting the shaft!go figure?

I like them...but I had little choice I needed a staggered fitment 255 35 22 and 285 30 22. Toyo is one of the few companies that makes this combo. Plus I got a great deal the 4 tires cost me $915.

You'll like them.

How is Tire-Easy even in business with their shipping prices?? I plugged in my postal code and they wanted $309CDN to ship 4 tires. I went to www.tententires.com and shipping was like $30 for all four.......What a joke.

Interesting. Guess they like the screw the Canadians. I think I had four tires shipped to me for less than $75 USD.
