Thumbs up 300 C OEM Replacement Tires, 225 60 R18

After reading all the posts and internet news on tires, I came to upon a decision for replacing my stock 225 60 18 tires /Conti Touring Tires. Well I got 36,700 miles of them.

Was it going to be the Conti Pro Contact?

Was it going to be the new Yokohams 225 60 R18?

Was it going to be the Goodyear Assurance?

I went to American Tire Co and they sold me a set of Yokohamas 225 60 R 18

When I drove them off the lot, boy were they fast and aggressive. The seem lighter and little harder. very impressive performance. The psi was at 31.

However I them took them on the Highway and they seem to permit the small roads bumps to be heard very easily in the cab. On big bumps they were fine but on the small bumps it was like riding in a light truck. The 300c did not seem as heavy and refined. So I lowered the psi to 29/5 and they seem better but I thought they were under inflated.

So I brought them back immediately and put the Goodyear assurance on.

The I took them back to the store with no questions. Now how do the good year perform?
No longer an aggressive tire but a pleasant cruiser. It is probably better for my daily commute into Los Angeles. But I miss the yokohamas for their performance.

Anyone try the Yokohamas? Any similar experieces with other tires?
