New Wheels...Tire sensor question..

Got my Asanti wheels and tires the other day. They were already mounted and balanced when i got them. I have ordered new sensors from the dealer for the wheels. Question is where do these go?? Is it an easy addon or does the shop have to unmount the wheels to get them in?

You'll have to take the tires off the rims to install the sensors, and the dealer will have to synchonize them to your car also.

Tires actually do not have to come all the way off......the inside sidewall can be pushed back with no air in tires to install the sensors....any shop that frequently installs wheels on newer cars can do this easily

Dealer really doesn't have to synchronize them..save yourself some change and drive for a few highway miles or in the city for 20 minutes or so and your car should pick them up. Stealership will only charge you for something you can do for free. I'd actually have the tires removed to ensure the sensors aren't broken or damaged and remounted afterwards. Goodluck

Question More sensor questions for a new guy

Some questions
1-Do sensor mount inside the tire on the wheels?
2-or just on the inside of the wheel on the outside?
3-Also, can you run the car without sensors?

Im thinking of question 3 for Autocrossing the SRT8

The sensors fit inside the wheel itself behind the valve stem. I'm sure you can run w/o the sensors if you want to.

Sensors mount as previously stated inside the rim and should be secured just right. If you choose to run your car without the sensors remember you'll get that annoying chime/warning (!) every 15 minutes or so related to the lack of sensors. If you don't mind the warning it's no big deal. If you are like me, and that little chime will get to ya'....head to Ebay and pick up a set of sensors for about $100-125 shipped. Just make sure the sensors are the correct ones with the right frequency. Goodluck
