Read This Before You Buy Rims!!

Just a word of caution to 300C members.

Many of you already know that a member was robbed by an out of state shop after he wired the money, but the wheels wasn't delivered.

Here is one procedure to check, it has worked for me. I decided on the 22" Asanti 128 wheels for my 300C and found a shop on-line out of state (I wanted to save on the sales tax) "promised me a great deal" they emailed me with a great offer. I placed a phone call with a Asanti rep and asked him about the online shop, good thing I called. The rep informed me that the shop is not an authorized Asanti dealer and they are shady too, wow one phone call saved me $5000. Anyways, the rep recommended a reliable shop. Just be cautious before wiring money to anyone.

Your idea is a good one, but better yet, just do not do business with ANYONE that requires you to wire money... period! This was pretty much hashed and re-hashed in the aforementioned thread. I guarantee that any company doing business out of state and/or on the internet that does not accept credit cards is NOT legitimate!!

Sure glad you didn't get ripped off scarface!!

If you live close to a metropolitan area then just shop around. I must have about 500 spped shops around here. You will be surprise in the difference in prices. Take your time and find the place that makes you feel comfortable. I dont trust the Internet for rims for some reason. Because if you have to send something back the shipping cost on rims is off the wall.Just my .05 cents

Check out ripoffreports.com and the BBB site to find out about online shop's. Its sad to say but most of the shops online are in the business to rip people off. The only legit place I found is superbuytires.com. And I would never wire money nor send a money order or even pay with Paypal, always use your credit card. One online shop to stay clear of is rimstop.com, I was ripped off for almost $5000 last year but got all my money back because I used a credit card. Its buyer beware.
