I want you all to know that I started this thread and I'm the one waiting for my wheels. Its been about three weeks. My dealer tells me that they are on backorder. Anyway as long as I know I'm getting new ones I don't mind waiting. I examed an 2006 on the floor compared to mine and they do look the same. I suspect that the changes are behind the clading. Also when my car was new I noticed a creaking of the wheels as I drove. Anyone with the replacement notice a similar creaking?

I haven't noticed any "creaking" with the new wheels, Blankster.

Mine are here...

My replacement wheels are going on the car tomorrow. While I'm there, i'm going to have them recommend a body shop to match the paint for the SRT8 spoiler. I can't wait to get that thing on the car.

Got my wheels today, they are new and they got them balanced right.

55 Vibe exhaust parts on back order, 2-3 weeks.

My C also has pitting, like "Northern Rider"'s picture but not as extensive, on three wheels. Meanwhile the wheels on my '03 Ram 2500, which is what I drive in the snow (the C stays home until the roads are clear) look brand new. Very dissapointing.

It's been over two weeks since I had my 300C in for the "inspection" of my pitted rims. A call to the dealer last week yielded me the "the rep is checking into this and will decide what should be done" answer. I informed the service manager that I am aware that this is a common problem and that there is no decision to make other than replacement of my rims. I won't hold my breath waiting for the call I've been promised.

Mine are on

My new wheels were installed today, and man, what a difference. i didn't realize how bad they really were untill I looked at the new ones. All bright and shiny, the way it should be. Sorry to hear about your wait and issues, I'd call Chrysler care on those clowns...see if they can help you.

I just finished cleaning my '04 Grand Cherokee LTD also with the chrome clad wheels. And guess what, they are starting to corrode like my 300C wheels. When I get my 300C wheels replaced this friday I'll go after the dealer for the Jeep wheels also.

When the distric rep came in to look at my wheels, I heard him say "I've seen this before on a jeep, but this is the first time I've seen it on a 300." Good luck...sounds like they may already know about it.

Just got back from the dealer

All four of my wheels are pitting so I went to the dealer today. The Service Manager cleaned them off and looked them over. He's ordering me a new set of wheels, no questions asked, even with me having some some curb scrape damage. I was very surprised at how easily things went.
