How quick was this done? On 4/22, I stopped and had photos made of my wheels by my dealer. I called them a week later, on 4/29. They said that
they were waiting arrival of the district service mangager. I have not received any word about what is going to be done with my chorme wheels.

I was there for like 10 minutes. My wheels were a bit dirty so the Service Manager himself cleaned them off. He came back to me and said that he would be ordering me new wheels and that they whould be in, in about 3-4 weeks. Like I said, I was surprised at how easy things went.

Mine just arrived, they were on back order.

I, too, had to wait for the D.M. It took about two weeks for him to show up.

I never got the cal I was waiting for so I called the service manager. He claimed that the factory rep had just been in the day before and authorized replacement. Now I wait for the rims to arrive.

What is the warranty period on the rims. I have the pitting problem but was waiting until my next oil change. I have 11,500 miles now - just wondering if the 12,000 mark will be an issue?

Hi CV. I don't think mileage is an issue. The wheels are covered in the standard vehicle warranty.

After I dropped the car off to the dealer I went over to the tire shop that was going to do the work. I have a lot of work done there, so I asked him if he could balance the wheels on the car...and put the weights on in the back. I think that putting ugly weights on the front of brand new wheels is a shame. Also, whos to say it doesn't break up the coating and lead to the corrosion.
So, they are on, beautiful and have no visible balance weights! And my car had over 21000 when I brought it in, so mileage is not an issue.

My wheels came balanced from the factory with the weights on the back. Your wheels had the weights on the front?

I stopped at another dealership on Friday as I was not satisfied with my dealer and the way the service dept. is handling my concerns. I was told that DC has now recognized that there is a problem with these wheels and they are going with another type and will not be putting on or ordering the original OEM wheels. They say to wait a bit until the new style comes in and as long as you have it documented they will get exchanged. I'm not sure if they will be a different design.
