What Offset To get?

I see alot of people on 22's on here and It seems that they run either a 15mm offset or a 18mm offset. I Plan on getting 22x9.5 wheels with a 265/35/22 Pirelli Tire. Could you guys tell me what the best offset would be and what the difference is between the 15 and the 18? Thank You.

The +15 will situate the wheels farther out from the car but will allow you to use a wider tire if you so desire, the +18 will make the wheels closer together but you could never go to a wider tire (because of the "arm"). Hope this helps...

If you run a 15mm offset the 265/35/22 will not fit. I'm running a 22x9 with a 15mm off set and the 265/35/22 hit the A arm.

On a 9" wheel, you have:

4.5" on the outside, 4.5"+ .6" on the inside, or...5.1" on the inside.

On a 9.5" wheel, you have:

4.75" on the outside, 4.75" + .6" on the inside, or 5.35" on the inside.

So are you saying, you have to run spacers on the front with your +15mm offset?

How do others run with +18 then? On 9.5s for that matter?

Exactly, all the TIS wheels are 9.5 and +18 offset. A +15 offset with a 265/35/22 will fit just fine w/o rubbing. I have 285/30/22 w/ a +15 offset and only had minor rubbing that required some modifications. Not sure where Fatchance got his info, but it he is running a less wide wheel (9") the tire could end up a bit wider than if he used a 9.5" wheel because the tire is not "spread" as much...

Well I was feeling fairly good about the wheels I was looking to purchase for my 300c, but after reading this post a little I'm back in the grey area. The wheels I am planning on purchasing are 9.5" with a 20 mm offset on 265/35 Pirelli. I just want to make sure that with these measurements that there isn't going to be a rubbing issue or any rubber pushing out past the wheel well. Someone show me the light so that I may return to the land of happiness and get some new shoes for the car
